You have set our hearts On-Fire

Never had I witnessed a bigger gathering of families - each with the fervor to serve God and transform the lives of each human person in the world - than the CFC Global Leaders Conference held at the Araneta Coliseum last Saturday.

The dome was filled with today's leaders, lay missionaries, the youth who strive to keep the fire of Christ burning in the hearts of men. I was literally surrounded with amazing people, people of strong character, whose lives were dedicated to God and the mission, passionate leaders and future leaders.

Being part of the production team as one of the stage performers was one of God's big surprise as the new year entered. Imagine, me performing in the Araneta Coliseum! I dont know anyone who never dreamed of performing there or even enter the historic place. I bet you do! We performed a jazz dance entitled the Magnificat where Mama Mary sang her praise to God after the anunciation. We were dressed in a flowing white dress. After days of late-night and tiring rehearsals, it was so thrilling to step on stage. Thank You, Lord for such a great blessing. Thank you for making my dreams come true.

This year's theme is to proclaim the greatness of the Lord! In doing so, we must be on-fire in the mission that God has appointed each one of us, not ceasing in our efforts despite discouragement, not waning in accomplishing our tasks and living a Christ-centered lives as models for the world to see. It is not an easy path for we will encounter hurdles like pain, laziness, difficulties, scorn, personal battles, weariness, hopelessness and etc and so we must do everything out of Love. We must keep our confidence and trust for God is with us and He fulfills His promises.

In the end, we lit candles and formed a human Cross as the lights went out and every corners were filled with darkness. It reminded me of the darkest days in my life and Jesus was my light. Then everyone was invoked to contribute to the light using their cellphones. And so the whole Araneta was filled with small blinkering lights which appeared like stars in the sky. To me, it means that each one of us carries this small light within us- a light that God gave us in order to guide others and do good things. This light never runs out just like a flame which never dies and ablaze when we use it for the purpose for which it was created - to be the light to others witnessing to and proclaiming the greatness of God.
